News from the Sanctuary

All grown up

This past summer, we featured a story of 7 chicks, found abandoned on the side of a busy road. Now, three months later, they are mature enough that we can recognize 3 little roosters, and 4 hens. The group, which was extremely timid when they arrived, are now friendlier and more curious each day. This is an ideal little flock to consider for adoption. If that's not a possibility, sponsorship is another great way to help.

New Chicken Home in the Works

With so many chickens on our waiting list, we've begun work on a brand new barn for them. First, we had to tear down an existing structure. As you can see, demolition is already under way and construction will begin this week. The new barn will be insulated and heated to keep them warm and cozy all winter long. It will also triple our bird capacity. Thanks to all those whose continued donations help to fund important projects like this.
